Not all financial advisers are held to the same standard.
When you work with a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, you’re choosing an adviser who has met rigorous education, examination, experience, and ethics requirements established by CFP Board - combining technical expertise, real-world experience, and a commitment to putting your interests first.

They are trained to look at your entire financial picture - not just one piece of it. This includes investments, tax strategies, retirement planning, estate considerations, and risk management.

They must pass a rigorous 6-hour exam designed to test their ability to apply financial concepts to real-life situations - designed to help guide complex decisions with clarity.

They must complete 6,000 hours of hands-on experience working directly with clients (or qualifying apprenticeship experience), building the practical knowledge needed to navigate real-world financial decisions.

They are required to act in your best interest and are held to a strict code of ethics and professional standards.

They must complete continuing education, including ethics training, and maintain their certification to ensure their advice remains current.
